Everything about Italy is beautiful: the language, the architecture, the landscape, the food, the wine, the wine. Did we mention the wine? And of course there's the exquisite fashion and the freakishly good-looking Italian gods and goddesses wearing said fashions.
So iStock figured since it would be an impossible pursuit to try to replicate Italy's beauty, we could at least capture it. And where better to do that than Milan, the epicenter of the fashion world. And so, iStockalypse Milan was born.
For five days this fall, following Milan Fashion Week, 30-plus iStock artists will attend talks and seminars, and then take to the streets to shoot Milan in all her glory. In between, they'll probably sip steaming cappuccinos and velvety wine and gorge themselves on homemade pasta and tangy gelato. That all sounds nice, but they'll be shooting things so stunning that it's possible they could actually go blind looking directly at them, so they're really putting themselves on the line here.
